Created for Chelsey Honders' photography research, this design translates a theoretical inquiry into a tangible visual experience. The research investigates the materiality of photography, examining how the physical properties of the image interact with and shape its conceptual outcome.
The design mirrors this investigation by moving beyond traditional layout conventions. Each figure from the research is isolated and projected into a distinct three-dimensional space, transforming the book into an active tool for artistic expression. This structural approach turns the research into an immersive journey, where the physical form of the publication reinforces its theoretical core.
Conçu pour la recherche de Chelsey Honders en photographie, ce projet de design traduit visuellement une enquête théorique sur la matérialité de l'image. L'ouvrage explore comment les propriétés physiques de la photographie influencent son contenu conceptuel.
Pour incarner cette problématique, la mise en page dépasse le support traditionnel pour devenir un outil d'expression artistique à part entière. Le design opère une traduction en trois dimensions : chaque élément de l'enquête est isolé et projeté dans un espace distinct, créant une expérience visuelle où la structure du livre mime le processus d'investigation. Ce choix graphique transforme la recherche en une expérience immersive, où la forme du livre renforce directement le fond du travail.
