The Baku Lighthouse Museum is built around the Sangi-Mugan lighthouse, designed in 1891 to mark the dangerous waters near Svinoy Island in the Caspian. Now decommissioned, the lighthouse is the museum's focal point — the object that anchors the rest of the collection of the museum.
Through a combination of print and multimedia languages, the permanent exhibition traces the lighthouses of the Caspian Sea, development of the lighthouse lenses and their impact on the seafare and life of the port over the decades.
Working with Avesta Group's team, Komnen oversaw the artistic direction, leading the graphic development of the exhibition in collaboration with Mariachiara De Leo. Museum visual identity by Studio Due Limone. Architecture by Belvedere Architecture.
Le musée du phare de Bakou est construit autour du phare de Sangi-Mugan, conçu en 1891 pour signaler les eaux dangereuses près de l'île de Svinoy dans la mer Caspienne. Désormais désaffecté, le phare constitue le point focal du musée, l'élément qui structure l'ensemble de la collection.
À travers une combinaison de supports imprimés et de langages multimédias, l'exposition permanente retrace l'histoire des phares de la mer Caspienne, le développement des optiques des phares et leur impact sur la navigation et la vie portuaire au fil des décennies.
En collaboration avec l'équipe d'Avesta Group, Komnen a assuré la direction artistique, pilotant le développement graphique de l'exposition en coopération avec Mariachiara De Leo. L'identité visuelle du musée a été conçue par le studio Due Limone, et l'architecture par Belvedere Architecture.
